About the Event
01. What is Data Innovation Summit?
01. What is Data Innovation Summit?
The Data Innovation Summit is one of the world’s leading and most influential events on applied data management, analytics, and AI. It is more than a single event. It is a global movement that connects regional communities in Stockholm, Dubai (MEA), Singapore (APAC) and Sydney (ANZ), all working to accelerate data and AI transformation worldwide.
DIS2027X2 is the name of the Stockholm edition of the Data Innovation Summit 2027. It is the largest and most established annual conference on Data, Analytics and AI in the Nordics, and this year marks its 12th edition. Leaders, engineers, scientists and innovators from across the region and the world come here to learn, collaborate and benchmark their strategies.
This year’s theme is “From Data & AI to Enterprise Capability”. Organisations have experimented, learned and invested. The challenge now is to turn Data and AI into a capability that works reliably across the whole enterprise and delivers measurable business value. We call this the Age of Applied Intelligence.
DIS2027X2 runs over three days on 15 stages and has two parts:
- Foundation Days (18–19 May): ten stages built around the problems practitioners need to solve. These include building reliable AI and agents, engineering trusted data, designing AI-ready architectures, making better decisions, governing and operating AI, automating and redesigning work, and bringing AI into industrial and physical environments.
- Industry Day (20 May): five sector stages showing how applied intelligence creates business value in Finance, Telecom & Digital Services; Manufacturing, Energy & Utilities; Retail, E-commerce & Logistics; Gaming, Media & Entertainment; and Public Sector, Healthcare & Education.
The summit brings together 3,500+ professionals from more than 50 countries and 1,000+ companies. They include business leaders, Data and AI leaders, enterprise practitioners, technology providers, start-up innovators and academics, all looking for real-world case studies and proven ROI.

02. Why should I attend the event?
02. Why should I attend the event?
Most organisations already use AI, but far fewer create real business value with it. DIS2027X2 is designed to close that gap and help you move from pilots and experiments to AI that works across your enterprise. By attending, you will:
- Build AI and agents that work in production. Learn how leading teams engineer, evaluate, secure and observe generative and agentic AI systems so they can be trusted at scale.
- Strengthen your data foundations for AI. Explore AI-ready architectures, semantic and context layers, data engineering, databases and data quality. Together these give people and AI agents the same trusted view of the business.
- Turn data into better decisions. Discover how leading organisations move beyond dashboards to decision intelligence. Topics include self-service and conversational analytics, forecasting, causal analysis and optimisation, and analytics agents that investigate why something happened. You’ll also learn to decide which decisions AI should recommend, which it should automate, and which should stay human.
- Govern and operate AI as an enterprise capability. Get practical approaches to AI operating models, portfolio and investment decisions, AI economics and token costs, agent autonomy and oversight, and readiness for the EU AI Act.
- Redesign work, not just automate it. See how organisations use AI automation and process redesign to free up capacity, then reinvest it in better decisions, new products and new markets.
- Run AI infrastructure efficiently. Learn how to plan compute, inference, sovereignty, security and energy efficiency for fast-growing AI workloads.
- Bring AI into the physical world. Explore industrial AI, digital twins, edge AI and robotics on the new Industrial & Physical AI Spotlight Stage.
- Learn from your own industry. On Industry Day, see how peers in your sector turn these capabilities into measurable results.
The summit is designed for both technical and business teams. It helps close the gap between them, because no single function can build this capability alone.
Secure your spot and get the strategies and connections you need for 2027 and beyond.
03. What is the difference between the Foundation Days and the Industry Day?
03. What is the difference between the Foundation Days and the Industry Day?
DIS2027X2 is split into two parts so that both technical and business delegates get the most out of their time.
- Foundation Days (18–19 May) are the core of the technical and strategic programme. They include keynotes, ten specialised stages, seven workshop rooms, Executive Round Tables, Technology in Practice sessions and more. The focus is on capabilities that apply in every industry:
• ML, agents and generative AI
• Data engineering, platforms and architecture
• Data and AI strategy and governance
• Analytics and decision intelligence
• AI infrastructure
• AI automation and transformation
• Databases and data quality
• Industrial and physical AI
The Foundation Days are most valuable for data scientists, ML and data engineers, architects, technical leads, and Data and AI leaders whose work spans the whole enterprise. - Industry Day (20 May) is now in its second year. It has five sector stages, plus hackathons, masterclasses and the expo. The focus moves from the technology itself to how it is applied in each sector, where regulation, legacy systems, customer expectations and physical operations shape what works.
Industry Day is valuable for both technical and business leaders. Engineers, architects and Data and AI practitioners can see how the capabilities from the Foundation Days work in their sector. Business leaders, line-of-business owners and domain experts can benchmark against peers and learn what drives measurable results. Industry Day is where technical and business perspectives meet around the same problems.
Many delegates attend all three days to connect the capabilities with the business outcomes.
