DIS26 Weekly Pulse

From Governance to Execution: Embedding Intelligence into Enterprise Reality

Week 24 of the Data Innovation Summit XI Edition continues to build on the momentum, shifting focus from vision to execution. If previous weeks explored the rise of agentic AI and adaptive systems, this week is about grounding those ideas into operational reality through governance, infrastructure, and real-world enterprise applications.

New Speakers and Sessions

A strong addition this week comes from AstraZeneca and Collibra, where Dr. Mithilan Siva, Product Owner for the Enterprise Data Marketplace at AstraZeneca, joins Wouter Mertens, AI Governance Field CTO at Collibra, to present “Governance that accelerates value: building a trusted Marketplace for Data & AI.” The session highlights how modern governance frameworks can move beyond control mechanisms to become true enablers of innovation, unlocking trusted, scalable access to data and AI across the enterprise.

Building on this foundation, Apoteket further expands its journey with Linda Kinnunen, Head of Data and Analytics, and Daniel Malmgren, Data Governance Lead, sharing how organizations can scale data and governance together, reinforcing trust, structure, and long-term value creation.

On the Product Stage, Aller Media Denmark brings a compelling transformation story, with Öykü Yilmaz, Business Intelligence Developer, joined by Malte Hæstrup, Data Engineering Tech Lead, in “Consolidating four Nordic media companies into one – spearheaded by data!”—a practical look at how data becomes the backbone for unifying systems, teams, and decision-making across complex organizational landscapes.

Infrastructure and performance remain key priorities, with Percona exploring semantic caching to reduce LLM cost and latency, while Infercom addresses the challenge of building GDPR-compliant, sovereign AI infrastructure without compromising performance.

At the same time, the evolution of business intelligence continues with Lightdash introducing Agentic BI 2.0, demonstrating how BI tools are transforming into living data applications bringing intelligence closer to real-time, operational decision-making. Across the Data Octagon stage, two key panels are further strengthened with new expert voices. In “How can organizations embed governance and strategy to unlock business-first innovation with data?”, Joshua Green, Data & AI Strategist at Databricks, joins the discussion, bringing a strategic perspective on aligning governance with tangible business outcomes. In parallel, “How do we design secure, sovereign, and scalable infrastructure for trusted AI adoption?” welcomes Mikkel Dengsøe from Coalesce, contributing insights on building resilient, future-proof data and AI environments.

New Partners and Workshops

Week 24 also welcomes Zipher, Inceptron and Datadog as new partners, further expanding the ecosystem of innovators contributing to the summit. New workshops from SAP and TiDB further emphasize the shift toward execution, highlighting engagement as a core business driver and showcasing how AI context platforms are evolving, bridging agent memory with hybrid retrieval systems.

Data After Dark

The experience continues beyond the stages. The full schedule for Data After Dark is now released, offering attendees a curated networking and entertainment program designed to complement the technical depth of the summit. A special highlight: Ål in Band will take the stage, bringing over two decades of live performance experience and a reputation for high-energy shows that transform events into unforgettable moments.

What becomes increasingly evident is that the conversation is evolving from what AI can do to how it is implemented responsibly and effectively. From governance frameworks and sovereign infrastructure to agentic BI and enterprise platforms, the focus is now on embedding intelligence into the fabric of organizations, securely, scalably, and with measurable impact.
