Greetings and welcome to the Weekly Newsletter Series of the biggest Data & AI Event in the Nordics, and one of the most influential Data/AI events globally – the Data Innovation Summit. We’re thrilled to announce that Carl-Henric Svanberg, Chairman of the AI Commission in Sweden and also Chairman of the Board at Volvo Group, will be delivering our Future Outlook Keynote at this year’s Data Innovation Summit. Building on the success of last year’s dialogue, this session will offer deep insights into Carl-Henric’s perspectives on the future of business, AI’s value creation, and leadership in today’s era of Applied and Generative AI. We’ll also examine the pivotal role of Sweden’s newly appointed AI Commission in driving widespread AI adoption across business and society. Meet the new Speakers
Juha Vesanto, Tribe Lead at OP Financial Group’s Data Platform & AI Tribe is joining to share insights into scaling up data and analytics communities. With a focus on key components and a compelling case study from OP Financial Group, attendees can expect to gain valuable knowledge about fostering thriving data and analytics communities within their organizations.
Anita Owens and Adam Jacobs, Analytics Engineers from Instabee, will explore the importance of creating a culture of shared ownership and achieving 5-minute issue resolution times. Attendees will gain insights into how Instabee leverages data science for route planning, demand forecasting, and real-time dashboard updates, empowering their operations team to swiftly address issues and minimize disruptions.
Santiago Ballestero, Head of Industry Solutions at Stratio BD will delve into the topic of generating productivity by unlocking the potential of AI through a business data layer. This session promises to shed light on the transformative power of AI when integrated with a robust business data layer, enabling organizations to streamline operations, enhance decision-making processes, and unlock new avenues for growth.
In the M8 Track, Nicolas Averseng, Founder & CEO of YOOI, will present an insightful exploration into “Responsible Value Creation at Scale with Data & AI Products: the StratOps Approach.” Despite the widespread enthusiasm for leveraging Data & AI, many organizations face significant challenges due to organizational complexities and regulatory requirements.
Andreas Håkansson, Partner, and Alexandra Furst, Director and Head of the People and Organisation Business Unit at PwC Sweden, will be presenting on “Putting People at the Heart of Your Data Strategy.” This session emphasizes the critical role of the people’s agenda in achieving success with data strategy implementation. Through real-world examples spanning various industries, attendees will gain insights into building a foundation that not only addresses business needs but also engages and empowers colleagues.
Richard Adams, Data Intelligence Solution Strategist EMEA at erwin, Inc., will delve into “Building Trust in Data Products through Evidence-Based Data Cataloging, Lineage, Compliance, and Data Quality Improvements.” This session focuses on the importance of establishing trust in data products by implementing robust cataloging, lineage tracking, compliance measures, and data quality enhancements.
Paolo Platter, Co-Founder and CTO at Agile Lab will be joined by Kjetil Eritzland, Head of Architecture, I&D Norway at Capgemini, for an enlightening panel titled “Enhancing Data Governance and Quality through Data Contracts in Large Enterprises.” This session delves into the transformative potential of data contracts in managing data across complex organizational boundaries.
In the Database and Data Quality track we are glad to host Bart Koek, Field Chief Technology Officer of EMEA and APJ at Immuta. With a diverse background ranging from enhancing race car performance in Formula 1 to pushing the boundaries of solar-powered race cars, Bart brings a unique perspective to data management and security.
We have some updates for the Data Octagon stage as well! We’re thrilled to announce two engaging sessions featuring experts from Domino Data Lab like Bryan Prosser, Sales Engineer Manager at Domino Data Lab for an insightful product review, offering valuable insights into the latest developments from Domino Data Lab. Later in the day don’t miss the panel discussion on “Strategies for Effective Data Engineering in the Time of Applied and Generative AI,” featuring Dr. Kjell Carlsson, Head of AI Strategy at Domino Data Lab, as a new panelist.
